Santa & Cole Sistema Lámina 45: Antoni Arola’s Linear Pendant Built on Reflected Light

A linear pendant that reads like architecture

Sistema Lámina 45 sits in Santa & Cole’s tradition of lighting that prioritizes atmosphere over spectacle. The piece is deliberately quiet: a slim, curved sheet and a line of light that never tries to become a “feature wall” on its own. For a quick overview, see the Product page.

Santa & Cole’s approach to families, not one-offs

Rather than treating lighting as isolated objects, Santa & Cole often builds families that can scale from domestic to contract contexts. Lámina is presented by the brand as a collection organized around the idea of reflected light, expanding across typologies while keeping a consistent visual grammar. Lámina collection.

Where Lámina starts: a sheet, a line, and a reflection

Antoni Arola conceived Lámina in 2018 as a pendant series, framed by the simplest possible elements: an integrated light line and a thin metal shade that acts as the reflector. Santa & Cole describes the result as indirect, visually comfortable illumination—light that’s redirected into the room rather than aimed at it. Lámina 45/85 and Reflection of light.

How Sistema changes the experience

The “Sistema” version turns the single pendant into a modular line, intended for long tables and circulation zones where you want continuity without visual weight. Santa & Cole notes that modules compose into extended, linear arrangements, with shared canopies every two modules for a clean, lightly asymmetric rhythm. The light source is built-in LED and designed for dimming, so the lamp can move between task-adjacent glow and late-evening ambience without changing the fixture’s presence. Modular description.

An installation story

A customer report notes deliveries began on December 16, 2025, and the chosen configuration was a two-module build with 0–10V dimming. In practice, that reads as a straightforward, project-friendly setup: one long line, one lighting intent, and control that integrates into common architectural dimming plans.

Where it fits best

Sistema Lámina 45 works when the ceiling plan is calm and the furniture layout is linear—dining tables, kitchen islands, studio worktables, and meeting rooms that benefit from a single, composed gesture. It’s also a strong choice in interiors where wall and floor lighting already handle accenting, and the pendant’s job is to provide evenly distributed, low-glare illumination. If you’re curating a space around metal, stone, and matte finishes, its restrained structure helps the room stay the focus rather than the fixture.
